Enhance Your IPad Experience With These Handy Tips

It is a good idea to turn off your iPad's push mail. A lot of mail accounts default settings go to Push as a delivery mechanism. This automatically will push your new mail as soon as available. This can be distracting and interfere with what you are working on. Turn this feature off.

Did you open too many apps? You can access all your open apps by tapping on the home button of your iPad and bar will appear at the bottom of you screen. Tap the app you want to access and repeat this process later to access your other running aps.

If you have young children who will be using your iPad, you might want to restrict their access to mature content. Even by accident, it is easy for a child to access an inappropriate website unless you do this. Simply go to your settings, and then click on general. There you will find "enable restrictions". Tap on this and you will find a list of restrictions that you can select from.

The mail application will expand on two lines of text per message with an adjustable limit, depending upon your preferences. You can now view all of your messages and get to the important information without clicking on each individual letter.

Use "Find My iPad" or "Find My iPhone". Go to Settings and theiCloud, enter your Apple ID and set it up. This way, if you lose your iPad, you simply need to vist iCloud's site or use the program on another Apple product ton locate where your iPad is and find it.

Would you like your iPad to display a slideshow of all your pictures when it is not in use? This is easy to do. After you lock the screen, you will see a picture icon appear in the bottom right corner. Simply touch this icon, and the iPad will start the slideshow.

While it may seem like a good idea to place your iPad in a case to protect it, why would you want to hide something that you spent so much money on? It would be best to place a screen protector over it when you want to carry it around instead of concealing it in a nondescript case.

Your iPad will automatically retrieve emails from your various email accounts, and this is quite convenient. To improve your battery life however, set your iPad to retrieve your emails a minimum amount of times. Unless you need access to your emails immediately, this can be a great way to increase the amount of time you will be able to use your iPad before it becomes necessary to plug it in.

If you do a lot of typing on your iPad, consider buying a portable Bluetooth keyboard. Doing a lot of typing on a virtual on-screen keyboard will most likely cause a lot of pain in your finger joints. Buying a portable Bluetooth keyboard for your iPad will make it possible for you to type long documents on your tablet comfortably.

Did you know you can take a screen shot on your iPad just like you can on a laptop or desktop? You can! To take a screen shot, press the 'home' button at the same time you press the 'sleep/wake' button. After you do this, you can find the screen shot among your other pictures.
