Kindle Fire Specifications

By Sebastian Cork

Just by looking at what kind of stuff the Kindle Fire specification can provide it is quite obvious that it is that kind of device that will certainly gain positive feedback and customer opinion. It is the very first e-reader from Amazon who has been able to effectively integrate common and popular tablet functions while making sure that the e-reader capability is retained. What makes the same very distinct to the rest of the Kindle family of e-readers is the fact that it is now classified not just as a gadget intended solely for reading electronic books, but something more. There's even a bold claim that the Kindle Fire certainly has all the things needed in order to compete with the leading tablet manufacturers such as Apple and Samsung.

It sports a 7-inch screen with a touch interface. Although it does boast the 8.9 or 10.1 common screen sizes from other leading tablet computers like the Galaxy Tab and the iPad, it is actually the ideal screen size for electronic reading. That's because it's quite difficult to grasp and hold a 10-inch device with one hand while you're reading. As such, donning the kind of screen size the Fire has isn't really considered as a flaw since Amazon has always been insistent on making the experience of e-reading very similar to that of a real book.

Apart from the improved touch screen interface, another Kindle Fire specification worth mentioning is the design of the tablet device. You will observe that it actually doesn't possess the curvaceous and classy looks of the iPad but the simple design is really a good attribute since it becomes a lot easier and comfortable for anyone holding a device with its rather minimalist design. Like we've said before, the main purpose is to replicate or retain the kind of reading experience enjoyed by traditional book readers.

Even though there are criticisms and flaws that are rather obvious for the non-believers of the device, it's fair enough to discuss the good things about the Kindle Fire. You have to realize that aside from the e-reading functionality, it is something that has gone through major overhaul since its Kindle predecessors. And with complete and exclusive access to hundreds of thousands of electronic book's courtesy of Amazon Kindle, you're actually carrying and holding a library in the palm of your hands.

And of the many reasons why the Kindle Fire is quickly becoming a bestseller among mainstream and hardcore e-readers and tablet computer users is the fact that purchasing and using the same will entitle the user to access and shop in Amazon's AppStore. Even if the tablet is operated by Google Android, the entire interface is still favoring the Amazon shopping environment.

By this time, it has become pretty obvious just by looking at the Kindle Fire that the device is really something worth the purchase. It is like a crossover between a tablet and an e-reader, or perhaps something that effectively integrates both in one device. It is the perfect gadget for anyone who wants to keep on benefiting from the e-reading experience provided by the previous Kindles while at the same time enjoying the advantages of different multimedia features in a tablet computer.
