Recently I found out about a new technology and tried to find more about it. It turned out that hydrophobic spray-on coating is really revolutionary and has qualities that may change completely our everyday life. So far, it is not widespread, but I will try to share with you what I learnt about it.
Even the naked eye can see the perfect sphere that water form when fall on hydrophobic coated surface. This shape doesn't allow to water to stay on the object. No matter what material you will chose to cover, the hydrophobic coating will spread the water or other liquid. Let's see the advantages of this product.
1. Anti wetting. This advantage will save you money, time and nerves. You will never again be worried about forgotten outside furniture or electrical appliances. So far, you don't allow children to jump in rain puddles, but covered with hydrophobic coating, their shoes will never be wet.
2. Anti icing. Winter is maybe the most dangerous season, because icing can cause many problems and difficulties. But if different surfaces can't be reached by water, they can't freeze. Icicles can no longer be formed on the edges of buildings and put in danger the lives of people who pass underneath. Now electrical transmission lines can't freeze and tear down.
3. Anti corrosion. In a laboratory environment has been established that hydrophobic coated surfaces are 4 to 6 times better protected from corrosive action than the coated steel surfaces. As trying to improve the quality of their products, companies apply many additional layers and defenses to preventing the corrosion. The advantage of hydrophobic spray-on coating is that the moist air doesn't reach the surface of objects.

This technology was originally tested for hospital applications to prevent the spread of disease-causing bacteria. Hospitals, bathrooms, very wet places where mold grows - they are all highly polluted and bacteria-infested areas. But if the surfaces are hydrophobic coated, the bacteria won't have conditions to develop.
5. Self cleaning. If your home surfaces and appliances have hydrophobic coating they can prevent the appearance of mold, fungus and dirt. Now you can protect your family better and make your home more safe place. If you use super hydrophobic spray-on, you can clean everything more easily.
