Tips To Do A Prezi Like Presentation In Powerpoint Successfully

By Ora Dickson

Presenting in front of a crowd can be nerve wracking. This is especially true when the crowd you are presenting to is composed of executives and C-level personnel. If you are not careful with what you present, you will end up losing their trust. Here are tips that can help you achieve a successful prezi like presentation in Powerpoint.

The first tip that you should follow always is to start presenting on time. If you are late or if you are dilly dallying with the said task, you will end up putting your crowd in a bad mood. You will lose their interest if you do this. Presenting to a crowd that is not interested in what you are offering them can be quite tough.

The next thing that you will have to take into account is the message of the report that you are presenting to them. As much as possible, you should sum up what you want to tell the audience in one single sentence. If you can do this successfully, you can show that you really understood the topic and that you have already mastered it.

Summing the whole message of the said report in one single sentence will be helpful when you are researching information that you can add to it. When you have a single sentence you can work on, then you can narrow down the information you have into those that are related to your report. You can also position them in your report correctly.

Prepare your opening and introduction. The opening and introduction should be enough to catch the attention of the crowd to what you are presenting. It may be a scientific question or it may be a catchy or provocative statement. You can even put out the conclusion of what you are presenting right at the get go.

Do not forget to greet the crowd before you actually start presenting though. You have to acknowledge those who have come to listen to what you are presenting. You should even give honor to those who deserve the honor. If you greet the crowd, they will feel that you are really interacting with them.

Add visual aids in your report. Use graphs, tables, and the likes to present the report. When you want to write out the numbers, the graphs, tables, and the likes will make it easier for you to sum up your report. You should also write the whole report in bullet forms as much as possible.

Keep what you are presenting brief and concise. It will be bad if you make it too wordy because not only will the crowd lose you and your explanation, not everyone will be able to read words in the board too. The ones at the back will have a hard time reading the words that are too small for them to read.

There is also the conclusion and ending of your report. The conclusion and ending of the report is basically the bottom line of the entirety of the said presentation. If they understand the report, you can easily get them to see the link between the topic and your conclusion.
